MotorGuide's Xi saltwater series is a staple on Florida center consoles, and its quick-release mounting plate pattern is one of the two patterns our plate is tapped for out of the box.

Mounting notes for MotorGuide
Bolt MotorGuide's quick-release mount to the plate with the hardware MotorGuide supplies, plus a drop of Loctite 243 per bolt. Use the plate's tapped holes that match your mount's pattern — no drilling of the plate needed.

Yes — confirmed. The plate is pre-drilled and tapped for MotorGuide's quick-release patterns, covering the MotorGuide line (Xi3 Saltwater, Xi5 Saltwater). Bolt MotorGuide's quick-release mount to the plate with the hardware MotorGuide supplies, plus a drop of Loctite 243 per bolt. Use the plate's tapped holes that match your mount's pattern — no drilling of the plate needed.
Do I use the plate's hardware or MotorGuide's?+
Use the 1/4-20 hardware that came with your MotorGuide mount — manufacturers spec a specific grade and length for their bracket. Add a drop of blue Loctite 243 to each bolt so vibration can't back it out.
What battery does a MotorGuide motor need?+
MotorGuide's bow mounts run 12V (55 lb) · 24V (80 lb) · 36V (105 lb). Match the battery voltage to your motor — see our battery guide for the exact picks and matching chargers.

Either. The plate is symmetric and reversible — flip it for the side that clears your cleats, anchor locker, and rail hardware.
